Prepare your skin for Fall season

The Fall Season is here and your skin has to adjust to the weather change. Your skin gets dry really fast and your skin might start peeling from the sunburn you got during the summer. What should you do? The weather is changing fast and your skin couldn’t adapt to the fast changing weather. Here are 6 tips you could do to prep for the Fall Season.

  1. Start the season with a peeling mask. The extreme exposure to the sun during the summer will tire out your skin. The peeling mask will help lift off the dull outer layer of the skin, revealing a brighter and softer complexion.
  2. Your skin is very fragile. It gets dry and rough very easily when the weather gets colder. Using hydrating serum will nourish and add extra hydration to your skin. You can also use natural coconut oil as a moisturizer for your whole body, especially after a shower or a hot bath.
  3. If you want to exfoliate, use an oil-based scrub for exfoliating. This would not only exfoliate the dead skin cells off, it also hydrates your skin at the same time leaving your skin less dry and flaky.
  4. Don’t forget your lips! Protecting and moisturizing your lips are very important during the cold weather. Start using lip balm to protect your lips from being too dry that might lead to bleeding in some cases. You wouldn’t want to kiss someone with dried lips. 😉
  5. Although the sun isn’t as strong in the Fall than in the Summer, you should still use sunscreen to protect you from UV rays. Using makeup with SPF would also help too.
  6. ALWAYS carry hand cream in your bag. Your hands tend to get dry the most because you do almost everything with your hands. You always wash your hands when it gets dirty and washing your hands too often will wash off all the oil that protects the skin. Now this is when the hand cream comes in handy. Again, you wouldn’t want to hold hands with someone when it feels dry and rough. 😉

Keeping your skin hydrated and moisturized is the key to fight against the dry cold weather that’s coming. Remember to start preparing early and your skin will thank you later on. Don’t forget to keep warm too.
