How to look radiant after a long trip

its all fun until you come back to work

fight the 24hr jet lagged look

From wheels-up to touchdown, flights can wreak havoc on your skin. Plane air is just plain gross—and drying. Whether traveling for fun or business, with all the time wasted in flight, you want to land with your best foot – and face – forward. Check out these radiant skin tips to help you improve your next long-haul flight and arrive looking like you’ve been relaxing in first class for hours.

Start the night before.

The key is to start early. On the night before a big trip, it’s important to exfoliate your face to remove any dead skin cells that may have been building up. This will also help your skin better absorb all the products you use later, so you can stay more hydrated for longer.

Remove your makeup.

Remove all of your makeup as soon as you board the plane, ideally with a milk-based cleanser so as to nourish at the same time as deep cleansing. If you prefer to do this in your seat you can use a micellar water on a cotton pad instead. I don’t care for makeup remover wipes, they’re just not that great for your skin and the perfectionist in me doesn’t really believe they remove all traces of makeup, dirt and debris.

Moisturize.

After you’ve landed at your destination, it’s time to restore the hydration that the plane ride may have stolen. Slather on a moisturizer or face cream. The intensive repair serum powerful serum enhances cellular DNA, healing and repairing the skin from within!  packed with hydrating and anti-aging ingredients, locking in moisture and leaving you with an instant glow. Follow with SwissZell Eye cream for your eye contour and added skin glam.

Get some sleep.

Sleep is super important to maintaining a great complexion, so take a good quality block out mask with silk or felt lining, earplugs and — my secret that I swear by — personal humidifying breathing mask. It traps and recycles your own moisture in your breath and prevents dehydration and airborne viruses.

Wherever your travels take you, be sure to stock your bag with the (travel-size) essentials to get you there looking fresh-faced.

WINTER SKIN CARE FOR DRY SKIN

Cold weather is rough on the skin. Extremely cold temperatures and low humidity levels creates dry air that draws moisture away from the skin. Harsh winter winds and dry indoor heat dries the skin to the point of cracking and bleeding. During the cold dry months irritate many skin conditions. Its essential to keep the skin moisture with the following tips.

Buy humidifier

During winter time the heating systems can dry out the air evaporating the moisture from the skin. A humidifier increases the moisture in the air to keep the skin moisture.

Stay hydrated

During dry winter time is essential to drink at least 8 cusps of water a day to stay hydrated in a cellular lever.

Certain food can be quite hydrating

Hydrate dry skin from the inside out with foods. Foods with high water content with boost of vitamins can help the body adjust to harsh weather blues. Most hydrating food are: watermelon, cantaloupe, pear, cucumber, celery, tomatoes and bell peppers.

Bathing in warm water and shed the old skin

Warm water wont dry your skin as much as hot water. Use exfoliating shower gel leaves your skin feeling comfortable and silky smooth, and brings you an immediate sensation of purity and well-being. Exfoliate the dry dead skin to have a radiant skin complexion.

Moisturizers

Pick ultra hydrating moisturizers during winter to counter the harsh environment and protect the skin better.

Body moisturizer

After taking a shower apply body milk which helps improve synthesis of extracellular collagen, bringing a silky, hydrated and flexible skin.

Face skincare

Cleansing milk hydrates and softens dry dull skin and helps with the elimination of dead cells.

Intensive repair serums can renews skin texture with peptides.

Eye cream supercharged with peptides and protein that renews skin’s surface over time and reduces puffiness by massaging onto the skin.

Moisturizing cream have soothing, nourishing and balancing effects on the skin of the face which becomes soft, fresh and well hydrated.

Apply sunscreen 15 minutes before before heading out because during winter can also damage your skin.

Soon you will have soft and smooth skin again.
